About Dr Dimuth De Silva

Dr Dimuth De Silva is a clinical cardiologist who also specialises in cardiac imaging. His work in this area takes in all forms of echocardiography, including transthoracic, stress and transoesophageal studies, as well as CT coronary angiography. He has special interests in the investigation of chest pain, cardiovascular risk assessment, heart failure, heart valve disease and clinical cardiology.

Dr De Silva graduated with first-class honours and went on to undertake postgraduate training at BHR University Hospitals NHS Trust in London. He also trained in cardiology at Austin Health and the University of Melbourne, and at Launceston General Hospital.

His fellowship in advanced echocardiography, cardiac MRI and CT coronary angiography was completed at Austin Health and MonashHeart. Dr De Silva has also been involved in clinical research at Austin Health and in teaching at the University of Melbourne.
