About A/Prof Sandeep Prabhu

A/Prof Sandeep Prabhu is a cardiologist and electrophysiologist who combines clinical practice with an academic career in cardiac electrophysiology. His clinical work is in heart rhythm management, including catheter ablation for atrial and ventricular arrhythmias, and the implantation and management of cardiac devices.

A/Prof Prabhu completed his advanced training at the Alfred Hospital and the Royal Melbourne Hospital. His PhD in clinical electrophysiology was undertaken through the Baker IDI Heart and Diabetes Research Institute, together with the Alfred and the Royal Melbourne Hospital. He has also completed an international clinical fellowship in electrophysiology and pacing at St Bartholomew's Hospital in London.

At the Alfred Hospital he holds a staff appointment as an electrophysiologist. He also has a Post-Doctoral Research Fellowship at the Baker Heart and Diabetes Institute, co-funded by the Heart Foundation and the National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC).
